They are used not only for demonstration and teaching purposes but also productively – visiting this museum is just like being in the midst of a workshop.

The things that can be discovered there are virtually innumerable. Many of them have a fascinat&#173;ing story of their own, for example this "Spatienkeil", a sliding wedge that was (and in that partic&#173;ular case still is) used for automatic word spacing in a Linotype typesetting machine. If I remember correctly this small item was the most expensive part of the machine since the patent for it had to be bought from a competitor.</description>
