Aah! Märklin - those were the days. When I was a small boy in Denmark, this was the holy grail of toys. For as long as I can remember, I had one wagon and some rails for birthday and Christmas only because we had friends in Germany. I considered myself very lucky. You have a wonderful blog here - a fine mix of pencils and other observations - I really like the stille Beobachter series. The truck was produced around 2007 but I haven't seen it for sale officially; It seems to belong to a set which parts aren't available individually. For some strange reason large quantities of that truck are available at eBay Germany (I have even seen two packs of 100 of these trucks).
