  1. Inter­es­sant, dass der Ton laut Pos­ter aus Corn­wall kommt. Der Video­bei­trag zur Schlie­ßung des Ton­werks von Klin­gen­berg gab mir den Ein­druck als ob der Ton für viele Fabri­kan­ten von wei­ter her kom­men würde.

  2. What a fan­ta­stic pos­ter! I hadn’t rea­li­sed quite how far flung all the ingre­di­ents nee­ded to make a pen­cil were. It’s a shame that they don’t offer it for sale — it would look great on the wall of my office.

  3. Mat­thias: Das ist wirk­lich inter­es­sant – ich wusste gar nicht, dass es dort ein sol­che gro­ßes Vor­kom­men gibt. Klin­gen­berg hat viele belie­fert, und soweit ich weiß, ging auch ein beträcht­li­cher Teil nach Japan (ob jedoch für Blei­stifte oder die tech­ni­sche Nut­zung, kann ich nicht sagen).

    Koralatov: It’s indeed ama­zing how far the raw mate­ri­als are tra­vel­ling and how much effort is spent to pro­cess them. – I wouldn’t be sur­pri­sed if they had a high-resultion ver­sion for prin­ting (or even prin­ted ones for inter­nal use); I would ask them.
