Based on your description and the photos it seems like they may have been direct competitors: the names "Deadline" and "Editor" certainly can be thought of as being involved in similar activities. THe Editor pencil is also round and also has a very thick lead (however it is labeled No. 1). It is smooth but not very waxy. Der Name und die runde Form lassen vermuten, dass es ein Bleistift für Leute ist, die viel Schreiben müssen und beruflich mit Deadlines arbeiten (Journalisten, Werbetexter, ...), aber wäre dann eine dicke Mine nötig gewesen? Vielleicht war es ja auch ein Bleistift zum Markieren... Ein sehr schöner Bleistift.
