  1. You’re welcome! I am happy to hear that it is of interest for you too. – Similar erasers are the Slendy+ and the ruflat from SEED; even thinner are the two variants of the Tombow Mono zero (the latter is quite expensive but very useful).

  2. I have tried both the Slendy and SEED, but I didn’t like them very much. I even just recently bought one of the MONO Zero precision erasers but it doesn’t erase very well. I have a Staedtler battery-operated eraser that is the best in terms of erasing in tight spots (i.e. music), but it’s not the most convenient item to carry around.

I’d love to see the Pilot Foam eraser in this format.

  3. Although the slim SEED erasers have a useful shape their erasing capability doesn’t come up to Tombow’s offerings. – I think that with the Mono zero there is a compromise to make. Its width doesn’t allow using the same compound as for the Mono, and this seems to have a negative affect on its erasing quality. However, it is still good enough to be very useful (at least to me, in combination with my Leuchttum1917 notebook).

Yes, a slim Pilot Foam would be great, but since the Foam isn’t available in Germany any longer I doubt that we’ll see one around here. – It looks like there is some kind of panic against PVC in Germany. Of course PVC is not the most healthy substance around but it is only harmful if it is in continuous contact with the mucous membranes. In view of the warnings issued in Germany I have the impression that children are chewing erasers all day.
