  1. I am not fluent in Shibo, but here is my attempt at translating what Kisho might be saying:

„Dear Master, I prefer only German-made pencils in our home. You wouldn’t want there to be any more…“accidents“, would you?“

    :)

  2. This could also be a warning signal like: master you should spend more time with Kisho than with your other hobbies :)

  3. Sean: I am not fluent in Shibo either but I would be surprised if Kisho wasn’t well-disposed towards pencils of the same origin as his ancestors. Maybe the pencil wasn’t properly sharpened and he felt the need to express his displeasure this way ;-)

Baktasch: In view of the time I spend with Kisho I would rule out this possibility. He just has to look at my weblog to see that I don’t have much time for pencils ;-)

  4. Did he leave the remains at your doorstep, as cats do with mice? :)

„Master, when you said ‚Fetch!‘, you didn’t say I had to fetch *that* particular stick. So I fetched the stick nearest to me at the time. I really wish you could state your requests more clearly when we are engaging in play-time.“

    :)

  5. No, he left the remains where he had done his work, namely in the middle of the living room. Your idea of Kisho fetching a stick and thinking about which stick to choose sounds plausible ;-) However, Shibas don’t fetch but let fetch – before the owner knows it, the Shiba will have gotten him (or her) trained to fetch and a lot more ;-)

  8. Vielen Dank.
Immer wieder imponierend, was du alles zu Bleistiften weißt.

    Grüße

    Holger
