You just gotta love these double ended pencils, no matter what combo of leads or other cores they have.
Indeed! There are so many great variants, e. g. the LYRA Super Ferby Duo which includes Blue/Orange and Black/White. And with the Tsunago you can even make your own :-)

Am I the only one or The Editor pencil by Caran d’Ache is a tad softer on the graphite side than that of the Graphicolor?

Regarding the lead hardness in the Caran d’Ache pencils: I think it’s the other way around – to me the lead in the GRAPHICOLOR is a little softer than the one in the Editor.
I haven’t tried and compared all these pencils yet and won’t do that in the future since I have only one of the National Pencil Quote Re. № 2 and the Colleen 705 B/Red and don’t want to use them. However, so far my favourites are the Tombow LV-KEV and the Caran d’Ache GRAPHICOLOR.
