Indeed – it doesn’t look like infor­ma­tion over­flow ;-) I am not sure what kind of docu­ments have been kept in that unsual piece of office fur­ni­ture but in view of the name I assume it was meant to sim­plify the access to fre­quently used forms. Howe­ver, using it for other docu­ments must have been pro­ven use­ful too.

  2. If the dra­wer has 12 sec­tions, perhaps it is meant to sup­port a „tick­ler“ or „bring for­ward“ filing sys­tem? (Just a guess.)
